I started a new adventure on Saturday…Nutrisystem!
I will not bore you with all the details, but maybe just a few….
First of all, here are 2 of the 3 trays of food I got. Its for 35 days; these are lunch and dinner. I have another cardboard tray of breakfast and snacks on top of the fridge. (by the way, ignore all those 2 liter soda bottles….those are for the birthday party on Sunday. Nutrisystem is diet soda friendly, but they would not like the other stuff.)
So, its a fair amount of food. Plus you supplement with dairy, fruit and vegetables. Plus some protein like eggs and meat. The food tastes all right. Some of its a bit “Chef Boyardee” for my taste, but still good. One interesting thing is that for years I have looked longingly at those muffins at the 7-11 and told myself “NO!”. Well, now I get a convenience store muffin for breakfast every day. I mean that in a good way. Its sort of fun to eat things that you used to stay away from. Even if they are low fat.
I got 28 days for $299, plus a week free, so its 35 days for $8.54 a day. Not bad. So far (day 5) its not hard to stick to. I do really enjoy the nightly dessert…stuff like chips, cookies and chocolate bars. Its all included and portion sized. I am happy that its all planned for me. I like that. I just want to get back to where I was before Giggles was born. I will never be 130 lb and that is fine with me. But I would like my pants to fit better. So, here I go.
When I was researching this, I saw alot of fakey blogs about diet plans. So, if anyone lands here while reasearching Nutrisystem, you can know that I am real. Here is a picture of my baby holding my Nutrisystem packing slip.
I’ll let you know how it goes over the next 30 days!
Also, if you want to try Nutrisystem, I can email you a coupon for $30 off (they send me one, for every “friend” I sign up, so please be my friend. This is not cheap stuff, but they say it works!)

You can send me one if you want, I am trying to lose weight too and I have been curious about this stuff for awhile. The only thing really stopping me from trying it was the taste factor, I was sort of scared that it might taste like cardboard or something, but since that’s not the case, I might have to try it!
I don’t think I could eat it all the time for 30 days, but I’m sure that I could eat it once or twice a day, which would probably work for me…I want to lose 10 lbs…after I lose that much, I will see how I feel about losing more. I don’t know, I guess it sounds silly, but I don’t want to lose so much that my clothes don’t fit anymore, just enough where I will look a little thinner in the face (where I show weight the most).
BAGD is thinking of signing up too. He says he is jealous of my willpower. I do feel pretty good after 6 days. I am liking the soups and the pizza last night was tasty.
