Getting Ready for our Vacation

by beagoodmom on March 4, 2009

You know me, I am a lazy sew-ist. If I don’t already know what I am going to do with something, I won’t take the time to make it. Well, I have 2 projects just perfect for our trip to Boston at the end of the month. So, I made them today.

First, a set of Luggage Flags (I say flags, because they do not have our name on them and are just to help us ID our bags in the luggage merry-go-round). Sorry yours is not a bit more Butch, BAGD. I did not have any black ribbon. But its Hawkeyes!

Check out the tutorial here

Next, a real stash-buster! 3 shoe bags, to keep dirty things away from clean things in our suitcases. 3 is an odd number I know, but working with a fabric stash is odd too. That is all the brown fabric I had. As soon as BAGD tells me how many shoes he is taking, I will decide if he gets another one or not. But it won’t match, just so he knows.

Tutorial here.

Sorry for the poor pictures. I did it without the flash, but apparently that is a bad thing. I need to find a pretty place in my basement to set up these shots, so you are impressed with my handiwork.
