Sometimes I make good things, sometimes I make crap.

Its true. Here is one of the good things I made (Giggles) wearing one of the crappy things I made (a hat/bandana)

ugly-hat

Its supposed to be a bandana with a brim. The ends tie at the back of the head. I based it on a pattern I saw in a book at the library. The pattern was vague to begin with and it was adult sized, so I tried to cut it down. The ends barely meet in the back of her head, and she looks like a reject from the cast of Little House on the Prairie. Oh well, I might try again, I could see this being cute if it was made correctly. If I do allright, I will show you. If not, this is the first and last hat-bandana hybrid you will see from me.

Speaking of cute, here she is in my running shoes:

Supposedly all kids go thru this phase, wearing “big shoes”. My other kids never did. Geetle put my work heels on once and promptly took them off, telling me “shoes are hot.” Pookie has always loved wearing a good fedora or funny hat, but he was never into playing in big shoes. But Giggles is all over this game. As soon as any one enters our house, she pounces on their shoes and tries them on. Especially the kids shoes.

Totally unrelated, but thought you might like the big-shoe-baby picture. There you go.
