Its pretty cute.

Geetle has been trying out some new vocabulary recently. I think she must see these words in her books and then wants to try them out in real life. This week, she went to great lengths to use “tremble” and “Connecticut” in conversations. Its pretty cute.

When Giggles is upset, she plants her left foot firmly on the ground and stomps her right foot, causing her to pivot slowly in a circle. While she does this, she usually chants “nononononononono!” in a very pained voice, tilting her head to the side. Its pretty cute.

Pookie has started answering questions by saying “Roger.” Its pretty cute.

Yesterday Giggles convinced the man down the street to give her a SpongeBob lawnchair from the back of his garage. We had stopped to chitchat and she saw it. He thought she was so cute, so he let her play in it. She got in, got out, looked at the back, peeked under the seat, pointed to SpongeBob and said “bob bob bob”…so he told her to take it home. She would hardly let me carry it, she was so happy and she wanted to drag it home herself.

Geetle is very excited about her new room because she is getting 2 shelves above her bed. I bought her 2 pink cardboard boxes to store her things in. She made a label for one of the boxes that says “Treasures.” Its pretty cute.

Pookie and Geetle watch iCarly together almost every day. You know how they love that show. The other night when they were brushing their teeth, Pookie stood up next to Geetle and looked at the two of them in the mirror, thinking they looked like Carly and Sam when they are on TV. So, Pookie said “Hi, I’m Pookie and this is Geetle and welcome to iCarly” just like Carly and Sam do when they introduce themselves at the start their webshow.

Giggles could live on fruit alone. She begs us for blueberries and bananas, especially. When we grocery shop, I have to pile the fruit in the way front of the cart, so that she cannot reach it. If I don’t I will find her gnawing on pineapples and mangoes in the cart seat. Its pretty cute.

I caught Pookie pushing Geetle on the swing the other day. Completely unprompted.

When we walk at night, we sometimes go past our friend’s house. When we do, Giggles shreiks and yells “EeeEee House! EeeEee House!”

We took the kids to IKEA the other day to look for things for the new bedrooms. So, now Giggles likes to yell “IKEA!” over and over.

Giggles is interested in the potty recently. She demands to sit on it, tugging at her diaper. We let her, but nothing happens. She really wants to use the toilet paper, so that might be the incentive to make it happen. She is very good at telling us when she needs her diaper changed, so maybe potty training is coming soon. When she needs a diaper, she starts walking up the stairs to the changing table. The other day I tried to change her diaper in the library and she demanded to do it herself. She also likes to yell “I pee a!” (see IKEA note above. Its definately a different phrase when she yells “I pee a” but its almost like she knows is funny because of the IKEA thing. She does it in the same tone of voice and in the same way.)

I cleaned out some dresser drawers for the big bedroom move. I found alot of Geetle’s size 2/3 underwear that I had saved. Some had ELMO on them. Giggles saw them and tried to put them on all by herself. She was on the right track, but was having trouble, so I helped. She was ecstatic and wore them around the house for hours.

BAGD and I talked Geetle into “breaking the world’s quiet record” at dinner the other day. She was pretty excited to break the record and got right to work, being quiet. BAGD and I laughed and smirked at each other and I then she figured out that we were goofing on her. But she did not want to give in and quit. It was cute seeing her mind spin with ways to “win”. She finally decided to speak and tell us that 7 hours had passed and she had broken the record.

When you tell your daughter a made up story about Be a good dad, you might want to fill mamaw in on it. She thought I was stupid last night because I didn’t remember that Be a good dad was a quiet record winner when he was little. Cute.

puhleeez! Anyone who has spent a day with BAGD knows he could win a quiet contest, with no problem. I do 90% of the talking in our house! I am sure he does still hold the record. Sheesh!
