Pookie’s bus actually beat Geetle’s home today! Yowza. Never thought I would see that happen. Last year his school got out 45 minutes before hers and he was still home 30 minutes after she was.
Today Giggles and I did some laundry. After she took each piece of clothing out of the dryer, she would wiggle it in the air, trying to snap it like I do before I fold anything.
BAGD went for his annual Dr. check up today. No problems, no complaints. He got his allergy medicine renewed, which is the only reason he went anyway.
Geetle has been getting up very early recently. 5am on Tuesday. She gets up and then sits on the couch and reads. She really enjoys reading, but needs to work on her writing skills. Yesterday for homework, she had to read us a book and then write the title in her planner. It took her longer to write the title than it did to read the book.
I finally got around to painting the French Doors off of the living room. I am trying to “make do” this week and finish projects or do things without buying any new supplies or spending alot of money. So, I brushed the doors, rather than rolling them with paint, since I did not have any roller covers on hand. They would have looked better rolled. I hope I can tolerate how they look. I might have to re do it with a roller.
Giggles and I rode my bike to Menards to return the excess window locks BAGD bought this weekend. It may have been Green, but it was not easy. That girl is serious dead weight.
I read a book called “Drowning Ruth” by Christina Schwarz. Meh.
Geetle and Giggles are trying to lure squirrels to our yard by leaving peanuts on the sidewalk. They spent 15 minutes doing this before the bus this morning. Geetle asked me lots of questions about squirrel behavior and ideas for how to lure them in. Giggles just enjoyed squeezing the peanut shells until they cracked.
