In response to BAGD’s post, yes, he is in charge of the baby’s name. But we did alot of prescreening together before we ever got to this point. So, I know the names he is thinking of. I can’t name the baby because its stressing me out. I don’t remember it being this hard last time. I can’t find a good middle name for my #1 name. I like BAGD’s #1 name, but I worry that it might become too popular in a few years. We like middle names with character, but they are tough to pair up with a good first name. (my apologies to all those with the middle name Lynn, Marie, Elizabeth, and Anne…but I think your parents copped out on the middle name.)
So, now he is in charge. I am sure he will do fine, but I do have one emergency veto. But I don’t expect to use it.

Thinking of suitable names is certaily more difficult than other people seem to think. I was never able to think of names for my boys. My partner chose the first and second name for our pre-schooler, and my mum chose the first name for our baby.
I rang her up after my 20 week ultrasound, told her it was a boy, and she started squealing down the ‘phone “oh call him Sam, please call him Sam!”. I said ‘Okay then’.
I think my agreeing with her kinds stumped her, as she went very quiet around about then
Good luck to both of you, I’m sure he’ll pick a great name

well, as long as you have veto power, nothing wrong with letting him pick the name. but if it helps, here are some middle names from my family: Claire, Lisa, Abby, June, and Alexandra.

You are a brave woman. If I had let dh name my daughter, she would have been Heather or Michelle or Jennifer (she is Jessamine Morgen). If I have another girl she will be Odessa Gaia, but if we have another boy, it will be a Jr., which makes me twitch just thinking about it.
