We are having a Boy!

Well, at least according to the Chinese Gender Prediction Chart, we are having a boy. The level 1 and Level II ultrasounds said “girl” but they did not give me a chart to prove it. (hmmm….suspicious.) Per www.fortunebaby.com:

The Chinese Gender Chart (also known as Chinese Lunar Calendar) was buried in a royal tomb near Beijing over 700 years ago. The original is allegedly currently in the Institute of Science in Beijing.

Results: It’s a Boy if you conceive in January at age 32.

We definitely conceived in January. You tend not to forget when it involves a masked medical team, a catheter and a strong-armed nurse pushing down on your full bladder during the embryo transfer. And I was definitely 32. And we had Chinese food for dinner tonite. I hope he likes pink bedrooms and old lady names, that is all we have prepared.

Pink and old lady names will be fine for a strapping wee laddie!

Well, our son gets referred to as a girl quite often, but he’s happy as larry generally. It’s amusing to see him retaliate:

Random person: (to me) You’ve got such a sweet little girl)
Callum: (overhearing) Actually, I have a willy, so I’m a boy! Boys and girls can have long hair both!
Me: (snickering) Yes, he is actually a boy. He loves his long hair though, as do I.
Random Person: (looking embarressed) Oh.. um.. sorry… *mumble*

So if you did randomly have a boy you’d still be fine :)

(You can tell the kids are napping/occupied, I ramble!)
