Well….I believe it isn’t the shoe rather the child in them. My three children are so well behaved. Two of them had these and were not allowed to wear them in such places as stores but were allowed to have them and use them in places appropriate. I don’t feel that not allowing your child to have them is necessarily right if you have based your reason because of how some other children have inappropriately used them. If your children are dying to have a pair, let them! Just teach them the right and wrong way of doing things. It doesn’t take a rocket scientist!

Just read your blog, and you know what? You’re a nutcase! One of those mums I see. First of all if kids are considerate, that depends on how they are brought up, not on the shoes they wear. If they know how to behave – they know so regardless.

secondly, the wheels are either detachable or most times they are retractable, I.e. they go back in the shoe – so no need for them to tip toe, you just need to do your reaseach and buy the good ones, that’sall – as with anything.

your third point is just plain stupid, as its the same as the first, and so is my response.

and lastly, they are shoes which are also fun to wear! so what? ‘they are toys, not shoes’ – and your point is? kids are supposed to have fun, they learn to have a better balance and coordination, and so what if they get to laugh a little? you must be one funny lady.

I just found your blog.

I HATE those shoes too. New persepective for ya: I used to wait tables at an Italian Place. We didn’t use trays, rather we carried the large dishes on our arms. Some kid wearing those stupid shoes made me spill hot soup AND alfredo sauce all over my arms, causing burns. That was two years ago, I still hate those shoes. I will never, ever let my kid wear them. (Yeah, I don’t use the never word either, but this is also my exception!)

Rock on! I’m with you. I hate those “shoes” too. Every time I see some kid shooting down the sidewalk, I yearn for a crack.

Not because I want him/her hurt. But because it’ll help them slow down…
