Geetle had her dentist appointment last night. She was sort of reluctant to go, but did fine. When we got there, she read a Highlights magazine in the waiting room. When they moved her to the exam chair to wait for the dentist, I remembered that I had an episode of SpongeBob on my iPod, so I let her watch that. She was pretty excited about it. She only got to see a few minutes since the dentist is pretty fast at our office. But, even that few minutes really relaxed her, I think.
The dentist talked to her about how often she brushes and if she had any loose teeth. She showed him her double tooth, where the adult tooth is coming in behind the baby tooth. He told her she has 1 week to wiggle out the baby tooth, or come back and he will look at it again (which means he will pull it out). She is supposed to wiggle it for 2 minutes a day. She started last night on the way home.
They cleaned her teeth and sealed the 2 adult molars that she has gotten in the back. Other than that, no problems. She really did great. I understand the fear of the dentist. I really do. But, she always seems to handle it very well. I know its not her favorite place to be, but she gets thru it. We couldn’t ask for more. She really is growing up.
On the way out of the Mall, we stopped to pick up a present for *someone* on our Xmas list (secret santa, can’t say) and then popped into JCPenney to use that $10 coupon they send out in the mail every once in a while.
