We just heard from our flat little friend:
Flat Stanley is alive and well in wintery wonderland Durango, Colorado! We had some hair-raising adventures in the past 2 weeks as the amount of snow we have is WAY over Stan’s head. He has had to be very careful as he journeys around town, but he has liked all the sunshine and mild winter weather here.
I think Stanley has most enjoyed snowboarding at Durango Mountain Resort (aka Purgatory). He pulls off several tricks and stunts, and recently, he has realized his dream of nailing a 360!
Yesterday, during a Christmas party with other students from town, Stanley won a few snowball fights, was on the winning team in the tug-of-war-in-the-snow-over-a-pit-of-cornsyrup&salad-dressing, and schooled a bunch of kids in Wii tennis. He ate a ton of pizza and finished up an eventful day with a laugh-filled screening of “Elf.”
I think he will be sad to leave little Durango…

Sounds like the people of Durango treated Stanley very well. Can’t wait to find out where he will pop up next! : )
