First I decided to let the kids paint on the driveway. Pookie has been dying to do this. He enjoyed it, but wore out 15 minutes into it. I think he is a little sick. He was warm all day and melancholy. He was happier sitting in the garage blowing bubbles.
Then they were so dirty that I knew they had to be scrubbed…or soaked…so that means only one thing!
Time to wash mom’s car!
That took care of most of the paint.
Then it was inside for a soft pretzel, lunch and some Wii bowling. Then a trip to Goodwill for a new movie to watch. A stop at Menards for supplies for my Tipsy Pot. And back home for movie and dinner.
Then, a real bath to soak off the rest of the paint.
Busy Day.
If you have one nearby, call your local newspaper printing site and ask them for newsprint “end-rolls.” Our local paper sells them for $2 per roll. They are at least 5 feet wide by whatever length they take off the printing press when the roll starts to run out, probably 100-200 feet. We use them to pack breakables and for art projects like this. Big fun.
