I am smarter than I thought

Wow! I knew all of these signs, intuitively. If I had never seen this tutorial and you asked me to give you the “Silent Studio” signs for “You’re On”, “Come Closer” “CUT” and “4 minutes” I would have gotten them right. All of them right!

I guess I know what career is right for me! The only thing that worries me is that, clearly, you are supposed to do “Cut” with your left hand. I am right handed; my left hand is basically useless and really just ornamental. That might hold me back.

Test yourself. I bet you do not get as many right as I did.

Yes, our baby does cry sometimes.

Many people ask me….”does Giggles ever cry? She is such a happy baby!” Well, here you go:

All Aboard! Next stop…Dining Room!

We are re-doing our dining room. The 5 of us no longer fit around the small table in our eat-in kitchen. So, its time to finally use the real dining room. Previously, we had a very cool antique table in the center of the room, but never ate there. The table was large, but we never had enough chairs and we worried about the kids eating on carpet. So, we are switching things up and moving our regular eating space into the dining room. We’re swapping tables and chairs, putting down hardwood floors, getting new curtains (from Mamaw’s House of Curtains), a new paint job and 2 new china cabinets (from Papaw’s House of Carpentry).

We took the old table out last weekend. The room looked so bare….until the trains arrived.

The kids are really enjoying the wide open space. This is EVERY piece of wooden train track we own. EVERY piece. Its really a great set up for more than one engineer to play trains. When we used to play in the basement, their trains were always running into each other or one kid would bump the track with their butt as they drove their train.

Geetle narrates what she can remember of Thomas the Tank Engine stories as she plays trains, acting out the story lines. Pookie likes to make long trains and run them all the way around the track. Sometimes his trains meet with trouble on the tracks and are violently derailed. Seems to happen alot, but they get up and try again. Determined little trains. BAGD and I are always glad to see them enjoying something together.
